This is like climbing a mountain. I'm a quarter way up there. Turning back and going down isn't going to be a short walk. The climb up's going to be long and enduring. So stuck between both. The environment's really making me not concentrate on my walk.

You sound extremely distracted and this is not the way to do this. You just really need to clear your head and focus. And because this is what you have decided to do, you should not give up. You have spent too much time, money, effort and determination trying to get this to work. It will be regretful to give up half way. Or even quarter way. Stay focus, sit yourself down, enjoy the ride, and be strong. Don't get carried away by distractions. *hugs* FOCUS! The big picture in mind, and you will emerge a winner.

hey tim
juz wanna let u know tht there isn't a single moment tht i dont doubt my own choice n ability in doing phd. but look, i'm in my final stage now - tho' with the same doubt as i first started, if not more. But thank God i seem to have more determination (than doubt) to get myself thru the finishing line, which is not far ahead (insyaallah). i've long deleted the option of quitting. there's only one option left - to endure and 'enjoy the ride'.
hope the queen, the flamboyant opening of CW game, the crowd n 'life' in melb will enlighten n exhort ur weary heart.
yours,
religious reader of ur blog
