China W(h)ine??

Dear God, is this what your servants have turned to, to bring honour to your name? What has become of the anointed ones? Yes, it is not for us to judge. But is this still part of the mission to spread your word? Or was it all a cover from the very beginning, to gain fame and fortune through the thousands who trusted her?

Desperate times call for desperate measures

Not many of you know this, but I really hate Red Bull, just like how I hate runny eggs. But my housemate and I have concluded that caffeine has limited effects, and so now, it's time to turn to the next higher level of strength. Clock's really ticking so fast, it's not funny!

I'm so sick of you...

...and I want to get rid of you (and your other two 'mates'). But I can't...not just yet.

BlackBerry LATEST!

Was surfing the web late last night thinking about KN's new phone, when I chanced upon this pleasant surprise! Dopod's 838 Pro is the latest Microsoft® Windows Mobile® device that's become BlackBerry-enabled, which means my mobile phone can now act as a Blackberry device for push emails!!! With the BlackBerry® Connect™ software, I'll be able to receive emails on my mobile phone as they are sent. Currently, I have to set my phone to log onto the server and retrieve my emails manually. How the new service works is that the phone will be logged onto the email server 24/7, and will push emails instantaneously to my mobile phone as they are received on the server. How cool's that??? Haha...ok, maybe not. THE TECH-JUNKIE IN ME SPEAKING!

Tek-no-lo-gi!!

Just discovered SIA has developed this really cool software, which doesn't only give you information on its flight schedules, but it also allows you to add specific flights into your calender on your Pocket PC! Really cool if you are a frequent traveler or a crew member. Here's how it works.

Step 1: Search for the flight

Step 2: Select the flight

Step 3: Add selected flight to your calender

Step 4: Check your calender for flight details

And now all the flight details are locked into your schedules! How easy's that?? (Of course, this doesn't actually book the flight for you. You still need to make sure you already have a confirmed booking, or get a confirmed booking for the flight you've chosen.) The only thing about the software is that it doesn't actually tell you the flight time and the miles traveled on this sector.

Software's available for Pocket PC and Palm users (not sure about Blackberry) at SIA's website to download.

Schedule silences Naomi's talk-show

NAOMI Robson has been forced to temporarily shelve her Oprah Winfrey aspirations because the Channel 7 schedule for 2007 was too tight to accommodate her afternoon talk-show.

(Source: News.com.au)

Despite the heavy hype and positive feedback surrounding the pilot episode for the program, Seven was unable to find a home for the former Today Tonight (east coast) host's show.

It is understood the network was reluctant to launch two new daytime programs and will instead focus on promoting The Morning Show with Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies when it hits TV screens later this month.

Rumoured to be known as "The Kill The Kerri-Anne Show", Seven is dedicated to ensuring its entry to the mid-morning market is a ratings success.

But the recent development may prompt Robson to re-consider extending her contract with Seven when it expires on June 30 - freeing her up to shop the program to other networks.

"We certainly haven't thought that far and are not looking further afield at the moment," Robson's manager Mark Klements told Confidential yesterday. "The pilot episode was very well received by all and sundry.

"Seven is committed to the project and Naomi is still a priority for them."

A Seven spokeswoman confirmed the timing had been out when asked about the program's current status.

"Naomi did an excellent job on the pilot and it's on the agenda as a long-term option for us - it's a piece of work everybody was proud of," she said.

"It was just the wrong time for us."

Damn it! I was hoping to catch her talk show at least before I leave.

The not-so-pretty side of Miss Universe

(Source: News.com.au)
Crowning moment ... Miss Universe winner Riyo Mori from Japan watches her crown take a tumble at the culmination of an event marked by ugly moments including mishaps, protests and costume controversy. This was not the night's only clumsy moment with Miss USA Rachel Smith taking an inelegant tumble after slipping and falling to the floor during the evening gown competition.

It was a graceful recovery nonetheless.

Your Call

Been listening to this song a lot lately. Caught me by surprise when I first chanced upon it. Sums up everything I've been feeling the past couple of months.

Hilarious

This is how bored students can get in school. Turns out, the guy in white is my present classmate's ex-classmate in primary school. How small is the world man!
