The diff between a resume and a CV

A resume is a one or two page summary of your skills, accomplishments, experiences, and education designed to capture a prospective employer's interest. The purpose of a resume is to secure an interview. It is the primary tool of your job search and may take several drafts to prepare effectively.

A CV, on the other hand, is a formal description of your past experiences, education, interests etc. A successful CV is one that demonstrates your skills and credentials to a prospective employer. They will be looking for a person to solve their problems and meet the requirements of that specific job. Your CV must inform them that you can do this.
